A New Book? Not a Black Orchids Title?

Is that even possible? And this is barely a book, a novella really, a quick 13K word read. But it now appears in this site’s catalog, so I guess Rock Rose Press is doing this. “A present for Pride,” they’re calling it. Okay.

Starring Lou Delacroix? She’s cute.

This just in from Dianne: “Don’t bother.” Huh.

Takes place in New Orleans? I might have to make a trip there, check out the lay of the land, you know.

This just in from Chantal: “Take a time machine.”

That’s different. The description reads:

A hard-boiled detective. A beautiful blonde in trouble. What could go wrong?

The aftermath of World War II finds detective Lou Delacroix trying to scrape out a living on the mean streets of New Orleans, harder for Marie-Louise Delacroix now that men have returned from the war. A beautiful blonde with a missing husband begs Lou for help. As she wades through the swampy parts of town full of voodoo, music, and crime, can Lou find the husband and save her client’s life? She’ll settle for one, and she’s got her preference.

Join Lou in this first-in-series historical novella as she finds that only a detective, nurse, and tap dance teacher can triumph in the bayous of New Orleans.

I suggest you go to this site’s store or your favorite online bookstore and check it out. I know I will. Happy Pride, all.
